to support an integrated, complex workflow across 27 channel
brands.
The South Mountain Community College (SMCC) Web site needed
administration features and complex content management to achieve
full transparency to the community. The new site features a complex
workflow and template base with Microsoft Content Management Server
for over 27 separate channel brands. The Internet Marketing Agency
built an integrated content management system for the
administration of all branded subdomains. The system features a
built-in workflow for the approval of all content by an
administrator before publishing.
The Web site is divided into separate Web sites, each a Digital
Magnet for a specific intended audience. Each site is
individually branded and has its own domain name. The main
SMCC Web site showcases available programs, event calendars, class
schedules and links to each of these audience specific channels.
This approach also enhanced search engine ranking, as user-specific
sites are returned by search engines when prospective students
search for specific programs.
